Real People Recruitment Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a licensed employment agency registered in Ireland (CRO 84888, Employment Agency licence EA4386). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.

What we collect

• Contact details such as your name, email address and phone number.
• Career information you give us, including your CV, work history, qualifications and references.
• Notes from our conversations with you about the roles or candidates you are interested in.
• For employers: company details, hiring requirements and the names of the people we deal with.

Why we use it

• To match candidates with suitable roles and introduce them to employers, with their agreement.
• To keep in touch about roles, interviews and feedback.
• To meet our legal obligations, including record keeping and employment agency regulations.

Our legal bases are your consent (when you send us your CV), the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one, and our legitimate interests in running a recruitment business.

Sharing

We only share a candidate’s CV or details with an employer after the candidate has agreed. We use trusted service providers for email and document storage who process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We keep candidate records for up to two years after our last meaningful contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email gerard@realpeoplerecruitment.com. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
