Giving back

A recruitment agency that gives back with every placement

We believe recruitment can do more than fill a vacancy. For every person we place in a new job, Real People Recruitment donates a percentage of our placement fee to a registered Irish charity chosen by that person.

How the charity donation works

The process is deliberately simple. An employer hires someone through us and pays our agreed placement fee. Once the new starter has begun their role, they nominate any registered Irish charity. We make the donation from our fee, in the candidate's name if they wish, and confirm it to both the candidate and the employer.

The employer pays nothing extra. The candidate does nothing except choose a cause. The donation comes out of what we earn, because we think it is the right thing to do and because it makes the whole process feel more like what it should be: people helping people.

Charities supported so far

People we have placed have chosen a range of causes, from animal welfare to cancer support and end-of-life care.

  • Irish Dogs Trust
  • ISPCA (Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
  • Marie Keating Foundation
  • St Francis Hospice, Raheny
  • Irish Red Cross

Why we do it

Recruitment fees are a real cost for employers and a large agency can feel like a transaction. We wanted a model where every placement leaves something positive behind that has nothing to do with us. Candidates tell us it is one of the reasons they chose to work with us, and employers like being able to tell a new starter that their hire has already done some good.

If you run a charity and would like to be listed as an option for candidates, or you would like to talk about a partnership, get in touch.
